If we are to live a truly healthy life, then being gentler with ourselves, practising yoga and meditation, reducing stress, eating healthy and organic food and sleeping deeply all have an important part to play.  With a yoga retreat at CASARA WAY (Wellness And Yoga), you will learn to slow down, live fully and enjoy life again, all in the spectacular setting of one of the most stunning beaches in all of southern Spain.  

The retreat combines daily Pranayama classes and Ashtanga classes in the morning with walking tours that explore the beautiful beaches of Zahora, La Breña y Las Marismas del Barbate Natural Park and the local countryside, plus yin yoga classes in the early evening, evening workshops and three delicious vegetarian meals per day.

Forest Walk
La Breña y Marismas del Barbate Natural Park is the second largest coastal reserve in Andalusia. The shore is lined by towering cliffs which are home to teeming colonies of herring gulls and egrets. Thick stands of stone pine provide shade for a stunning variety of Mediterranean wildflowers. Impressive cliffs fall over a hundred metres into the Atlantic Ocean. This is one of the most environmentally diverse and best-preserved parts of the Andalusian coast.

Beach Walk
Besides the wonderful sunsets in Zahora, the most spectacular aspect of this beach is the huge reef that shows at low tide and the enormous lagoon that appears when the water is shallow. The sunsets and the scenery make for some of the most breathtaking sights in all of southern Spain.

Countryside Walk
The rolling hills of the countryside provides walkers with fantastic views from ancient drovers’ roads and cattle tracks. We will walk to the ancient hermitage of San Ambrosio, which dates back to Roman times. We will also visit the El Palomar de la Brena, the largest dovecote in the world.

On the first day of the retreat (Monday) we will have a welcome introduction after the morning yoga class. There will also be a games night after dinner so that we can all get together and have some fun.

Our groups are small, only 12 participants, which allows personalized guide and instruction.

  • Free time
  • Yin Yoga, 60 minutes
  • Vegetarian dinner
  • Evening workshops or satsang. Subject will be chosen upon demand at check-in (3 days, 60 minutes)
  • Joyful silence

What is included:

  • A welcome drink with a delicious basket of ecological fruits on Sunday
  • 3 daily vegetarian meals with appetizers (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from Monday to Thrusday and breakfast on Friday

  • 9 Yoga classes (five Ashtanga/Hatha Yoga classes of 75 to 90 minutes and four Yin Yoga classes of 60 minutes)

  • 5 nights’ accommodation in fully equipped self-contained cottages with international TV channels, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee-maker, kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, washing machine, iron, and alarm clock
  • All bedding and bath towels
  • 3 workshops or satsang. Subject will be chosen upon demand at check-in
  • Games night on Monday
  • Transfer from and to Conil de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera and Barbate on check-in and check-out days
  • Trip to one of the beautiful White Towns of Andalusia
  • We will do our best to take you to a cultural or folklore show such as flamenco, a Spanish concert or jam session going on nearby
